Causes of abnormal noise in crossed roller bearings

After long-term use, cross roller bearings will have various situations due to wear, which will affect the use of bearings. Among them, abnormal noise during the use of bearings is a common situation. There are many reasons for the abnormal noise of bearings. Different causes have different solutions. Xiaohong will introduce the reasons and solutions for abnormal noise of cross roller bearings.

1. Causes of abnormal noise of cross roller bearings

When there are bumps, dents or serious faults on the inner and outer raceways of the bearings, the cross roller bearings will cause abnormal noise. Defects such as impact and scratches on the surface of the rolling body will also cause smooth and crisp noises in the cross roller bearings. After long-term use, the bearings are prone to wear, resulting in damage to the meshing relationship between the bearings and the shafts, causing the shafts to deviate and cause periodic vibration pulses.

The axial clearance of the cross roller bearing generally requires the smaller the rotation clearance, the better. However, if the rollers in the raceways are squeezed too tightly and the axial clearance is too small, the friction resistance will increase, and there will be a violent collision between the rolling body and the cage pocket, resulting in abnormal noise. ,

For example, some foreign objects such as impurities and iron filings enter the raceway running area of the bearing, which will cause severe friction with the rollers in the raceway. At this time, even a small amount of dust will cause periodic or non-periodic vibration pulses in the bearing, causing abnormal noise during the operation of the bearing.

The poor performance of the lubricant used in the cross roller bearing or the poor quality of the lubricant will cause the bearing to make abnormal noise during use. Improper bearing sealing leads to oil or grease leakage, friction between the rolling element and the groove of the cage, and vibration pulses caused by the grinding lubricant during the operation of the rolling element, which causes abnormal noise in the bearing.
